Performer Ensemble
Lorraine Bahr - Actor, Director & Teacher - As Associate Artistic Director of Sowelu
Theater Ensemble, Lorraine has performed in many plays in Portland, OR;
including her Drammy Award winning turn in The Treatment.
She is often recognized as one of Portland's outstanding actors and as a teacher
she brings her performance and playwright talents to the classroom at Portland
State University, as well as in local High Schools and two Oregon State Prisons.
Ayanna Berkshire-Cruse - Actor & Salsa Dancer -
Originally from the San Juan Islands,
Ayanna has been performing in Portland since 1997. She is an actor of
Film (The
Dust Factory / MGM), Television, Radio and (of course)
the Stage. One of her favorite companies to work with is Defunkt .
She is always thankful for her Father's continued support of her pursuits in the
arts.
Steven C. Black - Actor, Orator
& Pirate - Hailing from Chicago, Mr. Black has
been an actor of stage and screen since he was 15. As the founder of the
pirate reenactment troupe Brotherhood of Oceanic Mercenaries, he has
found a way to combine his love of history and his passion for performing.
He is also a staple actor with the Portland Christmas Revels.
Timothy Bryan -
Actor & Pirate - Tim returns to theatre for the first time in many years, since leaving his home in Alaska. His favorite rolls include sourdough with a little honey and strawberry jam. His favorite acting credits are
Ebeneezer Scrooge in Christmas Carol, Zeus in Pandora's Box, Valentine in Two
Gentlemen of Verona & Stephano in Tempest. He also plays the ongoing role of Mad Morty the pirate, which he claims is his finest role, even better than sourdough, with little honey and jam.
Jim Davis - Actor, Director &
Musician - Jim spent a number of years on
staff at Stark Raving Theatre where he acted in and directed many
productions. He also coordinated the "New Rave"; New Play
Festival, which showcased the work of regional playwrights. He has been
seen on stage in numerous shows at Artist Repertory Theatre, among many
other prominent Portland theaters companies.
Paddric M. Fitzgerald - Actor &
Director - A Portland resident since
1999, Paddric has worked with Miracle Theatre, NW Children's Theater
and has also directed his own production of Waiting for Godot. In
North Carolina he was a founding member of the "Passengers on the
Bus" sketch comedy troupe and a silly T. V. weatherman for three
years. Padd has been in more than 70 stage productions in his life.
Royal Hebert - Actor, Singer
& Swing Dancer - Although Royal has been involved with
theater since he was 4, his professional career began in 1999 when he graduated
from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City.
Since then, he has lived and worked in New York, Chicago, and Washington D.C.
before coming home to Oregon. Recently he has worked with the Shaking
the Tree Theater Company, the Mt. Hood Repertory Company, and the Christmas
Revels.

John Killeen - Actor, Juggler & Fire Stick

Kate Larsen - Actress, Singer,
Musician, & Dancer - A native Virginian, Kate has enjoyed a
diverse career in entertainment. As a singer, she has traveled the world
working everything from cruise ships, to the Kennedy Center and Radio
City Music Hall. As an actress, she has worked with theaters on both
coasts, including 4 years with the Portland Christmas Revels. Her
biggest role is playing Mom to Signe and Rafe.
Signe Larsen - Actress, Singer and
Student of Dance & Music - Signe has been a working actor
& singer (Guest Soloist - Miss Oregon Pageant at age 7) for
most of her life. She now attends the Arts and Communication Magnet
Academy, where she has a focus in dance and theater and has taken many classes at both
the NW & Oregon Children's Theaters. To
top it off, she plays fiddle/violin and mandolin.
Rafe Larsen - Actor, Champion Irish Step Dancer and
Musician - This very active young man is involved with sports,
theater and music, on top of a full school schedule. As a NW champion Irish step dancer (and Worlds qualifier), Rafe
started competing regionally at age 7. He works professionally as an actor
of stage and screen as well as being a student of piano and guitar. His
newest passion though, is snowboarding!
Nathan Markiewicz - Actor

Ammon Morris - Actor & Tenor - A transplant from Colorado, Ammon has been on
stage almost continuously since he moved to Portland in 2002. He has
worked with Triangle Productions, Liminal Performance Group and Lakewood
Theatre Company, among others, while attending school at Portland State
University. He was instrumental in developing the music for Tales of
Canterbury.
Jamie M. Rae - Actor -
Drawn to theatre by its collaborative nature Jamie's passion is the exploration
of varied combinations of techniques. Some local work includes The Miracle
Theatre -References to Salvador Dali Make Me Hot, Cygnet Theatre
-The Trial and Tygres Heart Shakespeare Company -Midsummer
Night's Dream. She is also an associate artist for Sojourn Theatre, a
community based ensemble company.
Eric Reid - Actor
& Teacher - Living in Portland and loving it,
Eric has performed with Sojourn Theatre in "7 Great loves",
Imago Theatre in "Frogz", Insight out Theatre
Collective in "One" and E3 Productions in "Disappeared";
along with many others. He is a graduate of the Dell Arte School of
Physical Theater and teaches physical theater skills to people of all ages.

Production Ensemble
Drew Flint - Sound, Set & Lighting Designer - One
of Drew's proudest achievements is the structural and mechanical design of the
360 degree cantilever stage for Imago Theatre’s No Exit. He
has designed lights for A. R. T. (Lobby Hero), CoHo Productions,
Miracle Theatre, Vanity Productions, Tygres Heart & Triangle
Productions just to name a few. He has done sound design for a number of
Portland theaters and he is the current Sound & Lighting Designer for The
Portland Revels, and the Rose Festival Queen’s Coronation.
Amy Lynn Gray - Edu-tainer, Improv Artist,
Mask/Puppet Designer & Performer - As a performer and
instructor in Mask, Puppetry and Improvisation Amy has produced three solo 'educomedy'
shows under her company Zing Productions. She is going on her 9th year
with the nationally renowned Tears of Joy Puppet Theater and is also a
founding member of ComedySportz Portland where she is a Co-Director of

Carl Hinds - Musician - Carl
has worn many hats throughout his musical career. In the band, Dandelion,
he released several CD’s on Columbia Records, in the 90’s. His music
has been used extensively in TV and film (Party of Five, MTV’s The Real World,
Edward Furlong’s Brainscan, etc.). Venturing into music production, he has
recorded scores for jazz, blues, folk, and rock artists. Recently, he has delved
into the realm of theatrical music.
Saj Kirkland - Playwright &
Lighting Designer - As a resident of Ashland, OR for most
of the last two decades, Saj has worked with most theaters in the Rogue Valley.
He has designed lights
for Actors Theatre, Artattack Theatre Ensemble, Ashland
Community Theater and Southern Oregon University. He has been a
writer and history buff for most of his life and in writing Tales of
Canterbury, he attempts to bring life to the vivid imagery of Chaucer’s
epic poetic work.
Sarah McKinlay - Stage Manager - Sarah
has been the resident Stage Manager for Sowelu Theater Ensemble since
working with them on The Swan in '04. She has also been the Stage Manager
for A. R. T. for a number of shows and remembers working as a P.A. at Portland
Repertory Theatre with great fondness. Some of Sarah's favorite productions
include: The Lysestrata Project, Count Time! Count Time!, Mr.
Bundy and Cobb.
Sarah Beth Parks - Costume Designer
& Puppeteer - A resident of Denver Colorado, Sarah
Beth came to Portland to tour with Tears of Joy Puppet Theatre.
Previously she has worked with costumes and puppets for In the Heart of the
Beast Theatre in Minneapolis, Blue Man Group in New York, The
Denver Center for the Performing Arts and the Colorado Shakespeare
Festival. Sarah Beth has returned to Denver, CO.
Robert
Rapier - Graphic Artist - Robert
(designed EL's Logo) lives in Seattle with his beautiful wife and their cat and dog. There he
has worked
as a Senior Art Director for Wizards of the Coast, designing and
directing for various games such as D&D and Star Wars. He
now does freelance design work that doesn't have him tied to a corporate leash.

Alyssa
Ravenwood - Mask Maker & Director - Alyssa
learned to make masks as a child & began designing masks for theatre
productions in 1988. She is a two-time winner of the "Best Performance
Mask" Award at the International "Ink People Maskibition".
She also received a Drammy Award for her mask designs which
were used in a production of "Scapin". Alyssa now
lives in Los Angeles, CA. For more

Monica Roxburgh - Mask Maker &
Puppeteer - Monica has been making masks since
1996, and sculpting and drawing since she was old enough to hold a crayon. She
grew up in New Zealand, but moved to the USA with her family in 1987. Her
greatest claim to fame is that nine of her masks were purchased by the British
band Iron Maiden for the cover art of one of their album. Monica has sold
hundreds of masks through the Annual Greystone Gallery Mask Exhibition and the
