"Voices"

A Kwik Jones play

This original play by Kwik Jones is a dramatic and stirring depiction of life in solitary confinement at San Quentin prison, during the height of the civil rights movement.  Inspired by the life and words of "Soledad Brother" George Jackson, the story follows the lives of a handful of abused inmates searching for their identity. JACKSON , a powerful voice in their midst, must teach them how to find and maintain their voice in spite of the violence. Can they face their fears to over come the oppressive ways of the guards or will Jackson fall, betrayed of one of his own?

This production is ideal for High School, Collage and Public audiences
